Stadiums and training facilities are an essential part of the fabric of the sport. The UEFA Intelligence Center monitors global stadium investment (new build, re-build, major renovations) over the last decade, with an emphasis on European football stadiums. It is also developing the most complete listing of club and national team training centers in existence. Stadiums have different configurations for different match types and can change over time, so the profiling of stadium infrastructure requires considerable expertise.

Supporting Data

The Intelligence Centre Stadium Project database brings together stadium and training facility data and information submitted directly by clubs through the Club Licensing System, including through surveys and through analysing audited data on the annual fixed asset investments of 700 top division clubs. It also incorporates stadium data collected throughout UEFA on stadium assessments, site visits, FAME attendance and match results and hosting projects. The composite overview database is further compiled utilising a range of public sources (wikipedia, stadiumdb) depending on the analysis type. The database links numerous data sets including:

Ownership and financing profiles
Training centers and other infrastructure investment
Full stadium project listings by type
Picture stadiums (planned/ in progress / nearing finalisation
Stadium operational profiles
Competition stadium usage and stadium star categories
